Raw Beans
At the start of this, we learned very quickly that we had no idea where coffee actually came from, or how it's made for that matter.
Coffee "beans" area actually the pit of the coffee cherry, grown on small shrub like trees. They require super intense, crazy environmental factors to actually produce a good result, like volcanic soil, specific year-round high temperatures, humidity and elevation above sea level. The best coffee's historically come from countries around the equator.
Once the cherry's are picked they are processed, which removes the fruit and then the "pit" is dried out. That "pit" is a single raw coffee bean. They are then packaged and shipped all over the world. Then we get the raw beans and roast them to make the beans ready for you to brew!
We source all of our coffee beans from Coffee Bean Corral (https://www.coffeebeancorral.com/) who pairs with farms all over the world to give us the best beans! We maintain all the beans we buy, and roast, are ethical an sustainably sourced.
